Dwight Eickmeier, Dentist and Founder
After completing his Bachelor of Science (Chemistry) at the University of Western Ontario, Dr. Eickmeier proceeded to complete his Doctorate in Dental Surgery at the University of Toronto's Faculty of Dentistry. Immediately upon graduation, Dr. Eickmeier purchased a practice in Stratford, Ontario and focused his practice not only on family dentistry, but also on cosmetic dentistry, bringing Cerec CAD/CAM technology to his practice in 2000. In 2006, Dr. Eickmeier accepted a position in the Mount Sinai's Hospital residency in dental anesthesiology in Manhattan, New York. Upon completion of the residency, Dr. Eickmeier returned to Southwestern Ontario where he completed his Fellowship in the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, his Diplomate status in the American Board of Dental Anesthesiology, his Diplomate status in the National Board of Dental Anesthesiology and obtained his Specialty Certificate in Dental Anaesthesiology with the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario.
Dr. Eickmeier is an associate clinical professor at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, University of Western Ontario, in the Paediatric Dental Department. He is also an associate clinical professor at the University of Toronto's Faculty of Dentistry in the Anaesthesia Department. Additionally, Dr. Eickmeier serves on the American Board of Dentist Anesthesiologists as a board member, currently functioning as the treasurer.
Dr. Eickmeier is a member of multiple anesthesia societies in both the USA and Canada, as well as multiple dental societies in both the USA and Canada. Dr. Eickmeier takes great pride in the integration of the latest technology in dentistry alongside the wide array of techniques available from the realm of anesthesiology to deliver high quality dentistry for his patients, while under complete comfort.
Jo Ann Bernard, Nurse
Jo Ann Bernard RN, BScN, earned her Bachelor Degree in Nursing from the University of Western Ontario and is currently working on her Masters Degree in Nursing. She has experience in post- operative surgery nursing in urology, plastics, and general surgery. She is experienced in post- operative dental surgery specializing in both adult and pediatric populations, including individuals with special needs. Jo Ann is also employed as a Registered Nurse specializing in adult cardiac care. She has previous training as a respiratory therapist in areas of neonatal, pediatric, and adult respiratory management.
Jo Ann maintains licensure as a Registered Nurse by the College of Nurses of Ontario. She is also a member of the Registered Nurses of Ontario Association and was invited into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nurses. She holds current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support-Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP), ECG interpretation, and IV initiation and therapy.
Katie Suffoletta, Nurse
Katie Suffoletta RN BSCN received her diploma of nursing from Fanshawe College in 2002. She later went on to achieve successful completion of her nursing degree through the University of Victoria in 2009. Katie is currently employed as a operative dental nurse who specializes in caring for paediatric, adult and special need populations undergoing surgery. Katie is also currently employed at London Health Sciences Centre specializing in adult cardiac care. Katie's past nursing experiences include general surgery, orthopaedic/spine surgery, trauma, plastics, post partum, labor and delivery and also several years in the critical care trauma centre.
Katie maintains an active licence as a Registered Nurse through the College of Nurses of Ontario. She is also an active member of the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario. She maintains current certification in basic life support ( BLS-HCP) as well as Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). She currently has certifications in cardiac assessment, ECG interpretation and IV starts.
Kelly Machado, Dental Assistant
Kelly was born and raised in London, where she continues to live with her husband and two teenage boys. She graduated with a BA (Hons) in Sociology from the University of Western Ontario, and ran her own business before entering the dental field.
She is a graduate of St Clair College’s dental assisting program, and has enjoyed working as a chairside assistant, dental receptionist, and treatment coordinator. Always ready for a new challenge, she is looking forward to utilizing the latest technology to help patients through their fears related to dental treatment.
